Since I am a Filipino youth, I seek and appeal for a possible solution to a massive trouble in our media as concerning to the contents of the TV Programs on different TV Stations. I am anxious on how the Filipino youths adapt and accept the culture and features that they are watching on different TV stations. As the television is the most influential medium in our society, are they still doing their obligation to produce a significant information to humanity? Or do we also have to be cautious and vigilant on choosing the channel that we are going to watch especially with the children?
Throwing back last year’s NBA, I found out that the TV program should contribute a content and relevance for televiewers’ benefit and welfare. That promotes moral & cultural values which is vulgarly unadapted by most of the TV Networks. So AnakTV showed compassion especially to the youth by sharing and teaching them these lectures.

We go all over the country and we give talks to many schools in different provinces and kinukwento po namin kung ano po ‘yung mga ratings naming sa mga television at saka sa pelikula at saka ano ang kanilang pwedeng gawin para magkaroon ng matalinong panonood sa loob ng kani-kanilang mga tahanan..,” Ms. Aquino added. “…magumpisa sa mga bahay kung ano ang dapat panoorin at ano ang dapat hindi panoorin.”
The UNTV 37 played host for the No Blackboard Academy (NBA) last 2014, August 20 at the La Verdad Christian College-Apalit, Pampanga campus. A Symposium, AnakTV jury screening and the Official launch of NO BLACKBOARD ACADEMY. Together with the support of Plan International, Miss Earth Philippines Foundation Inc., MTRCB Board members, La Verdad Christian School and College, and ofcourse with AnakTV itself. A forum, where they provide an innovative teaching system, especially among the youth to gain wisdom with the “absence of the blackboard”.
“Isang paraan para maengganyo ang mga bata na makinig sa mahahalagang leksyon ay hindi paggamit ng blackboard at chalk, sa halip gagamit tayo ng technology kung saan sila nahuhumaling kagaya ng videos at mga laro,” stated by Mag Cruz Hatol, Secretary General ng Anak TV.
As one of NBA’s advocacy is environmental awareness for the students. They invited Miss Earth Philippines from Cebu City, Jamie Herrell, that promotes Eco Tourism. The students attempted to voice-out their sentiments and participate as an individual on appreciating the nature. “The fact that I heard about it, and they actually told me if I could come here and I said yes why not? Because it’s for a good cause,” stated by Jamie with a smile on her face.
“What I’ll be doing is to promote Eco-tourism to the different delegates around the world,” promise by the beauty queen.“We have many-many advocacy in Miss Philippines World. We (are) simply going back to basics in helping the environment which is also part of our campaign which we are promoting right now, which is the Think Twice Campaign, which is to find alternatives in everyday activities that we do. …We just always think twice not just for helping the environment but also in your everyday life because that would give you a big plus. Like what we always say before doing we should think twice…”
Ms. Jojilen Vanessa Gluda, a representative / social worker of Plan International volunteered in a welfare for the progress of the Filipino youths ,she informed every participants regarding the

“Ang Plan International ay isa pong organisasyon ang aming pong sa Pilipinas po ay nagstart siya 1961.. ..Ang efforts po ng organisasyon ay para sa welfare po ng mga kabataang Filipino at mga pamilya. So basically more on siya sa Developmental projects. ‘Yun po ang ating concentration ng ating mga efforts.” Ms. Gluda expatiated.
Girls are likely abused than boys. They regard women as a weak individual.
Children with disabilities are more likely abused than the normal child, which is not acceptable in our culture. Violence in children will never be justifiable. So, they advice the parents to be more responsible.
From year 2012, there are 9.7 million (15 to 24 years old) Filipinas in the Philippines. Today’s youths’ focus and point of view were varied. Originally in the past, they prefer to emulate our teachers and our mother – the breadwinner. But today’s brand new world, they are copying the artists, the sexy models, and their idols. On the way they speak, they dressed etc. And apparently, it seems like they are very pleased on doing it.
Women’s insecurities were caused by media’s portrayal of female models. They are showing them on “Who to be?” and “How to be it”. Our visions were reformed because of the media. We oblige ourselves to be as skinny, as pretty, as rich as the models. In short, to be as “perfect” as barbie-dolls. Which is very impossible to befall because it was only an illusion.
No Blackboard Academy will go to various villages and schools to raise the awareness among young people with the help of modern technology. The target of the program is to teach and reach millions of Filipino youth regarding the importance of education with the support and assistance of No Blackboard Academy.
